Layoffs suck, but some suck worse than others

“They told me there wasn’t enough business to support the head count in my group, gave me a letter and a box and walked me out. The whole thing took 20 minutes” – worker laid off recently.

I’ll let that quote stand on it’s own and invite comments as to what should be done as far as a correct, compassionate layoff procedure and if such a thing is possible?

God be with all going through such processes and lead them into financial and spiritual rewarding endeavors as a result.

  1. They could just not let them in, publish the list in a local paper, and send them their personal belongings in a box…or better yet..just keep them 😉

    There isn’t a good way….
