And since I've got major Irish in me - almost all my relatives but me have made pilgrimages to County Tyrone and some cemetery there - I won't feel guilty about using such a concept in my writings. So many people have experiences like this at Laity Lodge that we sometimes call it a "thin place." That's a celtic idea that some places in the world, the line between heaven and earth is thinner than others. We're being a little tongue-in-cheek, of course, and yet... It really is a special place. And since we're planning our summer vacation right now, I feel inclined to make sure I don't plan to drag the kids from one agenda to the next! Sam, I’m late to this party as usual.
